About Us
We spotlight real stories from women of color—stories of survival, transformation, joy, heartbreak, success, and all the spicy bits in between.
What You'll Hear
Inner Battles – like self-doubt, invisibility, or the quiet feeling of “not enough”
External Barriers – from discrimination to othering and glass ceilings
Everyday Struggles – the unspoken, day-to-day challenges that rarely make the headlines
Breakthrough Moments – stories of resilience, healing, and rising through the fire
Our Big Picture Goals
Welcome to Peppersoup Stories, where we serve up real, unfiltered conversations about resilience, healing, and the beautiful complexity of womanhood—especially through the lens of Black and African women across the world.
In America, they say, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.”
But in Africa, we say, “When life shows you pepper… make pepper soup.”
Peppersoup Stories is inspired by this African wisdom—reframing adversity into something powerful, nourishing, and soul-soothing. Just like the pepper soup you sip when you’re healing, our podcast is a space to process the heat of life, blend in the right ingredients, and turn the experience into growth.
Meet Your Hosts
We are two Black women—one Nigerian and the other a Nigerwife (an African-American married to a Nigerian). As coaches and career-to-entrepreneur professionals, we bring rich and diverse flavors from our lived experiences in Africa and the Diaspora. Together, we hold space for deep, healing, and often playful conversations—with our guests, and sometimes just between us.
We’ll talk:
Love & intimacy
Leadership & purpose
Wellness & healing
Success & setbacks
Faith, identity, motherhood, money—and more
Why Peppersoup?
Because pepper is life’s heat.
And pepper soup is the healing that comes when you sit with the heat, stir in your truth, and let the story cook.
Our hope? That each episode leaves you feeling seen, inspired, and a little more whole.
So grab a spoon and settle in.
You’re about to taste stories that soothe the soul.
